Sandpit #3
Sandpit #3 - Spying and Lying
Wednesday 16th April 2008
We’re activating our sleeper agents and recruiting some fresh sandbaggers to put on an evening of games themed around detection, surveillance, disguise and general sneaking around. Expect to see players in false moustaches swapping codewords and envelopes with trenchcoated spies, seeking out suspicious faces in the crowd, tuning into numbers stations and smuggling unlikely objects past the border guards.
Come along to Shunt on Wednesday the 16th of April. Games start from around seven o’clock, and fedoras and trenchcoats are strictly optional. Entry to Shunt is £5 for the night; the games themselves are all free. If you’ve not been to Shunt before, access is through an unmarked door in the wall of Joiner Street, in the section which actually runs through the lower level of London Bridge station. We are not making this up.
(If you don’t mind blowing your cover on a social network, you can mark yourself as attending the Facebook or Upcoming version of the event.)
Schedule
Some Sandpit games need to be booked in advance, because they have limited places or because we need to know how many players there’ll be.
If these games are full, don’t despair! We’ll also be running games of Spywolf, Paper Telephone, 1000 Blank White Cards, Nomic, Mao, Dadaist Pursuit, the Book Game and more throughout the night, with no need to book. And once you’re at the Sandpit you can put your name on a waiting list for any of the games below - there are always some last-minute cancellations and spaces to fill.
