Sandpit 12
Soho Theatre by Mark Hillary.
Sandpit 12 will take place downstairs at the Soho Theatre, from 6:30 to 10pm on 3 June, featuring running, storytelling, deducing, lying, cheating death, trading, and RFID-enabled stockbrokers. It’s a ticketed Sandpit, so you’ll need to grab a ticket from the Soho Theatre’s bookings people, online or by calling 020 7478 0100.
Tickets are £4, and as usual a ticket gets you a place in three scheduled games which you choose at the beginning of the night.
If you don’t have a ticket, you’re welcome to come along and join in on our ambient or pick-up-and-play games, but you will need a ticket if you want to play the big games. Turn up at 6:30 to choose your games; play begins promptly at 7pm.
Map here; games for the night will include:
Soho Spy Squad (Hide&Seek)
The latest incarnation of the Playmakers projects sends brightly-coloured video-camera squads around the streets of Soho, hunting targets… and each other.
Youdunnit (James Wallis)
Deduction, crime and conversation…
Theatre of Alienation (Ben Henley)
A playwright has died, leaving his last work in disarray. Can you reassemble and perform it to satisfy the critics?
Greg McLaren’s Shoebox of Death (Greg McLaren)
A box has been found, filled with clues that lead… to your death. Can you decipher them and act in time to avert your incipient doom?
The Lizard’s Tale (Holly Gramazio)
Construct a story – but not the ending; to find that, you’re going to have to sneak around Soho with your fellow lizards.
Epit (James Cox)
Stockbrokers and traders battle to collect the most valuable RFID-enabled stocks and shares, desperately trying to take advantage of insider trading while avoiding the watchful eye of the Monopolies Commission.
Search and Replace (Kevan Davis)
Grab a set of lettered tiles and head out into the city, to twist the roadsigns and headlines to your will.
Conversation Piece (Simon Katan)
Conversation Piece returns - try to get your conversation flowing, but be careful to avoid the bores.
