Sandpit 10

Outside the ICA.Institute of Contemporary Arts by danielabsilva.

Sandpit #10 — our first ticketed event! — took place on Wednesday 22 April 2009, when we were back at the ICA for an evening of events themed around the End of the World.

Games included…

Prophecy

The world is ending—but which apocalypse will hit first? Aliens, floods, fire, nuclear weapons, zombies, something else entirely? The only way to find out is to become a prophet, but to be a good prophet you need a pretty big church… (Run by Minkette, developed at a Coney Playday.)

Shrine

In a dystopian future, can you chant appropriate rituals and film your enemies’ brightly-coloured shrines before they get yours? (From Hide&Seek.)

Ponzi!

Financial collapse is imminent—and as an unscrupulous banker, your job is to make as much money as you possibly can before it comes. (From Ben Henley.)

Moveyhouse

Take your place in what seems to be a cinema, and wait for the movie to begin. (From Andy Field.)

Bacterius

Infectious diseases vie for control; can you avoid the carriers with the power to infect you? (From Pippa Johnson.)

e-merge walks

Wander St James’s Park with an ipaq, moving through different areas and accumulating the footage to make your own film. (From Jackie Calderwood.)

Monster Hunt

London’s monsters return to the ICA. This time they’re rampaging down mysterious streets and tearing up distant monuments, and it’s your job to work out where they are. (From Andy Wilson.)

Rubble

Head out into the streets to scavenge and barter the junk you need to survive in the post-apocalyptic economy. (From Kevan Davis.)

Super Secret Robot Werewolf

Okay, this was Werewolf, but with cyl-, we mean replic-, er, we mean Super Secret Robotw. (From Toby Osmond.)
